Online Michigan CPL Class - Friday - $100
This is the classroom portion of the Michigan CPL course, taught live online so you can take it from home. It is the same US Concealed Carry Association Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals curriculum I teach in Livonia, with the same demonstrations and the same chance to ask questions. Once you finish the online session, we schedule your range qualification at a Metro Detroit range, and you receive your CPL certificate when you qualify.

How the online class works
Log in a few minutes before 9:00 AM on class day. The session runs live for about five hours with short breaks. We cover the safety rules, how revolvers and semi-automatics work, ammunition, defensive shooting fundamentals, the legal use of force in Michigan, pistol free zones, police encounters, and what to do in the aftermath of a self-defense incident. You are expected to be present and on camera for the whole session.
The State of Michigan also requires at least three hours of range time. After the online class, Jaime schedules your range qualification at Action Impact in Eastpointe, Center Mass in Livonia, or another agreed range in the Metro Detroit area. Your certificate is issued when you complete the qualification.
Common questions
Is an online class valid for the Michigan CPL?
Yes, for the classroom portion. Michigan requires classroom instruction plus at least three hours of live fire with an instructor. This class covers the classroom portion, and the range portion is scheduled separately with Jaime.
Do I need any experience?
No. Beginners are welcome. Everything is explained from the ground up before you ever handle a firearm at the range.
Do I need my own gun?
Not for the online session. For the range qualification, bring your pistol and full metal jacket ammunition if you have them. If you do not, rental is available at the range.
When do I get my certificate?
After you complete both the online class and the range qualification. Take the certificate to your county clerk with the $115 application fee, submit your fingerprints, and your license arrives in the mail.
What if I cannot make it?
Call us at (248) 662-5744 at least 48 hours before class and we will move you to another date.
What our students say
Very good experience with Mr. Martinez, he explained both the use of the weapon and the laws of my state very well.
The course in Spanish was truly comprehensive! Mr. Martinez was very kind and attentive, making sure I understood everything. I highly recommend it.
Mr. Martinez is such a great instructor; you don't need to come to the class knowing anything. He'll guide you step by step, showing you all the tips and tricks you need to be the best certified. The best part for me…
